Granted that you supported Governor Udom Emmanuel to win his re-election in 2019, but you weren’t the only one who supported him. I did and Thousands of other persons did.
Sponsoring smear campaigns against him is not going to change the sacred truism that God has used Udom Emmanuel to maintain peace in the state at this critical juncture of our history. In my considered opinion, these mendacious and skylarking antics smack of inferiority complex, a mentality of entitlement- which is the hallmark of emotional blackmail. It does not require rocket science to know that Governor Udom Emmanuel can’t support all the candidates to succeed him, at the same time in 2023. He can only support one from the array of candidates and friends. Graciously, he says he will only do so once God gives him a direction, a direction he is seeking through prayers.
With frequent reports of violence and atrocious hostilities in other parts of Nigeria, it is instructive to note that Akwa Ibom people won’t take the peace they are enjoying for granted; they will queue behind the Governor until a worthy successor emerges in 2023. #ThatSameGod will help the state to sustain the peace it is currently enjoying.
